Welcome to the Hope Street Markets Website! We are a design and art markets event held seasonally, that celebrate and bring independent designers to the forefront - we are not your average markets!
4th June 2008 - Web update
We have successfully rounded up our 4th Hope Street Markets.
The Autumn Markets weekend in May was a complete success and we raised
$2,741 for HopeStreet's Winter Appeal - which goes to support Sydney's Homeless.
For those that missed out, see our gallery for images of the markets.
For now we wish you all a great Winter, unfortunately we will not be
running a Winter market this year but you can expect to hear more news from
us in a couple of months with any new dates.

What do you make? Tell us about your product!
My quirky little art works and super duper t-shirts!
What's your creative background, your day job and how did you start making things?
Well apart from being a unicorn the first real job I ever wanted was to be an artist and I think I've always been a creative bean, making this and that.
My day job is a full time Design and Illustration student at Enmore Design Centre.
What are the things you find most inspiring?
Well for me inspiration comes from just about anywhere and from anything some common themes include beautiful creatures and humans, love and stuff and funny fun-ness. My number one inspiration in everything I do though would have to be my family and my special gentleman.
Where is your workspace and what is it like?
Well it pretty much works like this - I find some spare space on the floor at home lay down and just make a huge mess.
Why did you choose Hope Street Markets?
When I did the first Hope Street Markets I had a ball so I'm really looking forward to doing this one. It's a great experience and it helps support a very important cause.
Where would you like your art/brand to be in the future?
I am not going too crazy about the future yet because at the moment my number one priority and focus is my studies. I've got a couple little plans for this year outside of school work though – getting my own website up and running and also doing a group show with a couple of my friends.
