Welcome to the Hope
Street Markets Website!

Welcome to the Hope Street Markets Website! We are a design and art markets event held seasonally, that celebrate and bring independent designers to the forefront - we are not your average markets!

4th June 2008 - Web update

We have successfully rounded up our 4th Hope Street Markets. The Autumn Markets weekend in May was a complete success and we raised $2,741 for HopeStreet's Winter Appeal - which goes to support Sydney's Homeless.

For those that missed out, see our gallery for images of the markets.

For now we wish you all a great Winter, unfortunately we will not be running a Winter market this year but you can expect to hear more news from us in a couple of months with any new dates.

In the mean time keep connected with us via our mailing list.

What do you make? Tell us about your product!

Ku-türe.com is one off and something special.  We specialise in fashion, accessories, bags, jewellery and kids wear which are handmade & one offs.  That’s what makes them so special.  We support up and coming designers who want to break into the market with interesting, beautiful and handmade goods.

What's your creative background, your day job and how did you start making things?

I’ve always loved special handmade pieces, which came from my mother always sewing or knitting.  I studied fashion design and have worked with Collette Dinnigan and Leona Edmiston.  However my real passion are beautiful things that designers have loved making.

What are the things you find most inspiring?

Anything crafted with love.  Oh and anything green!!

Where is your workspace and what is it like?

I share my workspace (aka front room) with my partner who works in visual effects.  Given that its so small and I like to surround myself with beautiful things, I have to limit it to our desks, rack and inspiration board.  I can’t fit all my magazines and books!

Why did you choose Hope Street Markets?

I love the idea behind the markets.  I love the vibe and the support of up & coming designers etc.

Where would you like your art/brand to be in the future??

I want to hear Ku-türe in the same breath as Net-a-porter and Topshop in terms of the best online stores!

Where can we buy your stuff?
