Welcome to the Hope Street Markets Website! We are a design and art markets event held seasonally, that celebrate and bring independent designers to the forefront - we are not your average markets!
4th June 2008 - Web update
We have successfully rounded up our 4th Hope Street Markets.
The Autumn Markets weekend in May was a complete success and we raised
$2,741 for HopeStreet's Winter Appeal - which goes to support Sydney's Homeless.
For those that missed out, see our gallery for images of the markets.
For now we wish you all a great Winter, unfortunately we will not be
running a Winter market this year but you can expect to hear more news from
us in a couple of months with any new dates.

What do you make? Tell us about your product!
i make clothes for guys and girls. they are aiming for age group around 20-35. people who goes to music festival and art exhibitions or design conferences. i also make some mix media painting, they are for anyone who likes them and have a empty wall that needs to decorate.
What's your creative background, your day job and how did you start making things?
i came from an illustration and 3d animation background, my day job at the moment is a 3d animator for a post production company. i started making clothes about 2-3 years ago. it started as a hobby, wanting to express my design and art to a larger audience.
What are the things you find most inspiring?
sounds a bit vague, but alot of things really, i work in the creative field so everyday i came a cross alot of interesting things. once in a while something will catch my eyes. or can be as simple as on the way to get some milk from the corner shop... anything goes really.
Where is your workspace and what is it like?
my workspace is my home, my bedroom is my office, got a computer setup and printer scanner etc. i guess just like any other graphic artists. and when i need more space i expand to my living room for drawings and painting etc...
Why did you choose Hope Street Markets?
Hope Street Market gives designers great exposures.
Where would you like your art/brand to be in the future??
i would like my clothes to stock in more stores across australia. if my art can be purchase in MCA would be a bonus!
