Welcome to the Hope Street Markets Website! We are a design and art markets event held seasonally, that celebrate and bring independent designers to the forefront - we are not your average markets!
We have successfully rounded up our 4th Hope Street Markets.
The Autumn Markets weekend in May was a complete success and we raised
$2,741 for HopeStreet's Winter Appeal - which goes to support Sydney's Homeless.
For those that missed out, see our gallery for images of the markets.
For now we wish you all a great Winter, unfortunately we will not be
running a Winter market this year but you can expect to hear more news from
us in a couple of months with any new dates.
In the mean time keep connected with us via our mailing list.

'oh fiddlesticks' is an interactive range of jewellery, consisting of mazes and balancing ball games. The pieces come in light and dark wood and the chains are adjustable to become long or short necklaces. The offcuts from the pieces are transformed into other pieces of the range, such as the inside of ' I think I’m in' inspires the form of 'Broken heart'. Each piece is handmade with love from the Turn Me On Design studio.
Georgie & Milenka met while studying design at COFA. We both inspired each other creatively and ended up co-working on both of our projects. After finishing uni we started freelance design for events creating many installations.
We are currently working on lighting, objects and furniture designs. The business began with aspirations for lighting, hence the business name "Turn Me On Design". However, the jewellery range was inspired with Georgie's addiction to fiddling with her necklace, which started as studio banter and soon became the interactive jewellery range 'oh fiddlesticks'.
We love cross-stitch, stamps, stickers, postcards, photos, patterns and junk. We love junk. Bits of wood, metal, wire. Anything we can play with and make something with I guess. Our studio is a collection of weird but wonderful things.
Our studio is in Newtown. It appears like a garage, but has 2 levels and we share the space. It is filled with 'stuff'. We love collecting but hate throwing out. It is light, airy and inspiring. There is alot to look at and alot of character.
We think Hope Street Markets is so inspiring, as it is for such a great cause and it creates so much awareness at the same time. It is also a great opportunity for so many creatives to display their work. It is a chance to create a small exhibition for each designer which is not possible merely by selling designs to a store. It is a way to create a story of your work and interact with people. And it is also just a great weekend for everyone that comes. A friendly environment with such a sense of community.
We would like to stock internationally with our next range.
