Welcome to the Hope Street Markets Website! We are a design and art markets event held seasonally, that celebrate and bring independent designers to the forefront - we are not your average markets!
4th June 2008 - Web update
We have successfully rounded up our 4th Hope Street Markets.
The Autumn Markets weekend in May was a complete success and we raised
$2,741 for HopeStreet's Winter Appeal - which goes to support Sydney's Homeless.
For those that missed out, see our gallery for images of the markets.
For now we wish you all a great Winter, unfortunately we will not be
running a Winter market this year but you can expect to hear more news from
us in a couple of months with any new dates.

What do you make? Tell us about your product!
Pictures / fashion / shiny things / soft stuff / jewellery/ toys.
What's your creative background, your day job and how did you start making things?
I just drew pictures and people liked them now myspace runs 10700 deep and I’m just doing what I do ... :)
What are the things you find most inspiring?
Shiny things, rainbows, love poems, art, pop, ice cream, sad clowns, underworld, mythology, music boxes, crystals and kittens.
Where is your workspace and what is it like?
I just moved into a new office space in Surry hills ... where I spray painted my name on the wall in purple with xx !
It’s a shared space with the crew from stupid krap.com and all the artists ..
Also am collaborating some girl power with XXzilla and Love Ariel to make wooden Jewellery which we will be showing at this Hope street !
Why did you choose Hope Street Markets?
Because the name sounds cute !
+ I like to do a one off event it gives me an opportunity to put on a bit of a show :)

Where can we buy your stuff?
I have a few stockists of old stuff… but that’s boring the news is I’ve been working away secretly..
This Hope Street will show some things unseen..
Kind of like a sneak peek at my creative processs ... ! I am into events at the moment so it’s something you will have to come down and see ! X X
